USAID-ERRA Launches a Call for Applications for Job Creation in Kenya

Concept Notes Submission Deadline: March 29, 2024, 11:59 PM EAT.

A priority focus of USAID-ERRA is to create jobs by supporting export-oriented value chains.  To achieve this objective, we announced an Annual Program Statement (APS), which provides comprehensive information about future funding opportunities that USAID-ERRA will support in the East and Horn of Africa. Specifically, the APS outlines the type of activities we intend to fund, the eligibility criteria, guidelines for submitting concept notes, and the evaluation process in accordance with USAID regulations.

Following this announcement, USAID-ERRA has launched a call for applications in Kenya, inviting private sector entities to submit concept notes from the agribusiness (including horticulture, livestock, and fisheries) and the cotton, textile, and garments (CTG) sectors. Interested bidders must demonstrate viable and innovative solutions that help create and sustain jobs, enhance value addition, and boost exports while attracting investment.

Prospective applicants can learn more about this funding opportunity on TradeMark Africa’s (TMA) website at www.trademarkafrica.com/erragrants/. For any inquiries or assistance needed during the application process, applicants are directed to contact the USAID-ERRA team via email at erragrants@trademarkafrica.com. We will continuously update a list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) on the application portal based on the queries received to assist applicants and ensure a fair process.
