Angela Ng’ethe is the Co-Founder and Director of Kiliview Agribiz Limited. Kiliview Agribiz Limited is a company involved in primary production of fresh produce namely tomatoes, onions, sweet potatoes, watermelon for local market consumption as well as French beans and Baby corn for export market. At present Kiliview is running a research and POC at how best to add herbs (namely mint, tarragon, basil and rosemary) to their portfolio but fully under full organic farming methods and get relevant certifications of the same by the end of 2025. Kiliview intends to attain the status of a fully organic farm for all its products both for local and export market. In 2019, the company recorded an annual turnover of over KES 12million. However, this deteriorated in 2020 and 2021 due to covid-19 and drought that made them lose close to KES 10million in the farm. Through the support of WIT Project, Kiliview Agribiz has received capacity building trainings in Quality Standards Certifications (ISO 90001:2018, ISO 45001:2015, and HACCP) Financial Management, Organizational Development and Change, Sales and Marketing Strategy, and Customer Relationship. This was followed with close mentorship and resulted in creation of 500 part time jobs at farm level.
Charity is a purpose-driven entrepreneur. She is the co-founder of Exotic EPZ Ltd. Exotic is the only women-owned licensed processor and exporter of Macadamia Nuts based in Nairobi, Kenya. The company is on a mission to sustainably provide its customers with quality products for healthy and happy living.
Charity spearheads the company’s operations and strategic planning. She leads the business operations and provides leadership of the company’s activities by overseeing several business functions, including manufacturing/production, supply chain, finance and procurement, human resource, engineering and maintenance, quality and compliance.
Charity is also a passionate business mentor and entrepreneurship trainer.
Claire is the CEO and Founder of Shirlam Investment Ltd. Shirlam Investment was registered in 2018 as a limited company. It is women owned with the CEO having 100% shareholding. Shirlam Investment ventures in value addition of orange fleshed sweet potatoes. The company’s products include Uji Mix, Nutri Flour, Baby Weaning and Instant Soya Beverage going by the name Zen Havenn Foods. The company is currently working with 300-500 small holder farmers in Kakamega County with a plan to scale up to 1500 farmers targeting Kakamega ,Bungoma County and Busia County. Shirlam Investment sells locally to Individual customers, Households, Hospitals and Infant Schools with a purpose to venture into the Export market after getting the relevant certifications. Through the support from WIT Project, the CEO has received tailored business skills training in Financial Management, Organizational Development and Change, Sales and Marketing Strategy, and Customer Relationship management. This was followed with a close mentorship and coaching process. As a result, the company has gained financial access of Kes 2,200,000 as grant and creation of 22 indirect job opportunities.
Doris is the CEO and founder of Jayasha LTD. JAYASHA General was registered on April 4th, 2020, as a Woman Agricultural Empowerment Platform with a sole mandate to create value addition to the members produce and offer market linkages. It was later incorporated to limited company in 2021. Since its inception the company prides in having worked with a wide range of farmers, both in the poultry farming/ avocadoes, passion, spices, and vegetables value chains. Initially the company started as a local aggregator for cooperate markets but has now expanded to different areas of operations. Jayasha General are now in the export markets selling to USA and Netherlands. The company is working with 2000 farmers. It has achieved a wealth of knowledge in the 3 years of operations that has been brought to the ground with the support of an agronomist and a quality assurance personnel offering farmers with regular trainings to ensure they meet the market parameters. Through the support from WIT Project, the CEO has received tailored business skills in Quality Standards Certifications (ISO 90001:2018, ISO 45001:2015, HACCP, Financial Management, Organizational Development and Change, Sales and Marketing Strategy, and Customer Relationship. This was followed with close mentorship and coaching business planning review and proposal development. As a result of this, the company has gained financial access in form of low-cost credit loan worth Kes 10,000,000 and 3 new jobs have been created.
Elizabeth is the CEO and founder of Vine Foods Ltd. Vine food limited was registered as a limited company in October 2017. It’s a women owned and led company. Vine food engages in processing and value addition of blended maize flour, with legume and pulses, leek onions coriander and tubers. The company works with 100 to 150 farmers from Nakuru,Nyandarua and Narok county. With the plan to scale up to 1000 by 2024. Also import maize from the East African countries. The company deploys 10-25 workers which 5 are full time. Our products are sold to local shops, ECD school,churches, door to door to elderly persons. With the target to big supermarket and export. The CEO is a beneficiary of trainings offered by WIT project on financial management, organizational development, sales and marketing strategy and customer relationship. Our revenue has grown from ksh1,000,000 to 15,000,000.
Evelyn Munyeti is the CEO and Founder of Jade Fresh Ltd. Jade Fresh Ltd is a private company registered in Kenya. Since its inception in 2009, Jade Fresh has grown quite rapidly in size, in volumes of produce handled and in client base across the globe. The company grows and exports different type of fresh vegetables and fruits like snow peas, French beans, baby corn, passion fruits, carrots and avocado. The company is also dealing with export of flowers. The markets are mainly in Europe and middle east. The company has signed contracts with over 850 farmers who practice Global GAP to meet the international standards. It has grown the annual turnover to 145 million in 2021. TMEA WIT has supported Jade Fresh in the implementation and certification in HACCP which has enabled the company attract new export markets. The company’s CEO and staff have benefited from tailored business trainings in; Quality Standards Certifications (ISO 90001:2018, ISO 45001:2015, and HACCP), Organizational Development, Strategic Management, Financial Management, Customer Relationship Management and Marketing followed with close mentorship and coaching in proposal writing and business plan review. This has resulted in access to finance in form of low-cost credit worth Kes 6,000,000.
Everlyn Mumo is a young passionate entrepreneur, and whose background is in finance and economics. She is the founder and CEO of Ndakris investments ltd, which is an agri-business in the banana chain value addition. It was registered in in Kenya in June 2019, and begun doing background work such as research and development of prototype untill 2021 when we decided to start small with those products which can be done without the machinery. We do value addition to bananas by ripening them in ripening chambers (which we currently pay an organization to use their equipment); produce green banana flour (which we are yet to commence due to machinery); and extract the fiber from the banana stems (this is our main business idea) to make hair products, sanitary towels and African themed women carrier bags (kyondos) as well as environment friendly laundry baskets. For the banana fiber products we have only manage to actualize the kyondos because the rest require more refined and high amounts of fiber which haven’t managed to secure machinery to produce yet.

She has worked in a number of International and Regional organizations such as Ogilvy and Mather advertising, Nation Media Group, Kenya Television Network, Cyber School Technology Solutions, Kenya Tourism Board and is currently at Kenya Export Promotion and Branding Agency where together with her team, oversees Export Market Development Programs for Africa, Middle East and Asia Pacific.
Fatma is passionate about making a difference in every environment she works in and sets out to achieve big goals and milestones jointly with the teams she works with. Fatma uses her skills as a trained teacher to coach and mentor those around. She is skilled at identifying emerging opportunities and driving decision making towards their successful fulfilment.
Fatma has been recognized as a top 100 tourism personality in Africa and for spearheading the launch of the Magical Kenya Travel Expo (MKTE) and overseeing the rebrand of one of Kenya’s leading brands – Magical Kenya, during the Covid 19 pandemic.

Alice is the CEO and founder of Agribusiness Solutions LTD. Agri Business Solutions Ltd was founded in 2016 and got contracted by EA Maltings LTD, to aggregate sorghum and millet andmobilized 2000 farmers Kitui , Meru, Makueni Machakos Migori Homabay Bura Irrigation scheme in Tana River County and Kabanon Kapkamak Irrigation scheme in Egeyo Marakwet. The company was financed Ksh1.5m by KCIC for this project. The COVID 19 pandemic hit this market badly and the company diversified to the avocado value since the sorghum farmers grew avocado, More farmers were recruited across East Africa and avocado aggregation is done. Collection of second grade and rejects avocado from export pack-houses and other agriwastes from market dumpsites Is done. Using a zero-waste circular economy the avocado is processed into oil. During oil processing the avocado waste peels are carbonized with other agriwastes into briquettes. The waste seeds are planted and given back to the farmers to plant while the final wastes from the factory feeds black soldier fly larvae which in turn gives frass fertilizer. The company set up a factory and benefitted from WIT project training on HACCP, ISO45001 2018 and ISO 9001 2015, Financial Management, Organizational Development and Change, and Relationship Management with annual turnover of USD320 000 and employs 9 full time staff and more than 100 casuals
Harriet Ochar is the co-founder and CEO of Dolcestar Africa, a company that contributes to food safety in the food industry by coming up with products which are safe for consumption. She is a
professional and skilled food scientist equipped with pertinent skills, knowledge, and experience in Dairy Technology and Management from Egerton University. Dolcestar was established in December 2018 with an interest in the Agribusiness sector. To address the health problem that arose from consumers of peanut butter brands that contained additives, the company started the production and supply of pure, natural and locally made peanut butter by grinding dry roasted peanuts, with little salt for taste and texture. We have expanded our market base from Kisumu to Other Counties such as Kericho, Homabay, Busia, Nakuru, Kiambu and Nairobi. Dolcestar also provides extension services to farmers especially on improved farming techniques to minimize crop disorders in specific farm products such as groundnuts and maize. Through the support from Partner Africa, the CEO has received tailored business skills in Quality Standards Certifications (ISO 90001:2018, ISO 45001:2015, HACCP, Financial Management, Organizational Development and Change, Sales and Marketing Strategy, and Customer Relationship. This was followed with close mentorship and coaching in business planning review and proposal development. This has resulted to access in finance in form of grant worth Kes.950,000.
Irene Kalondu Mumo is the founder and team leader at Trueways Enterprises Ltd. We are an agribusiness in the Apiculture, Dairy, Fruit and Avocado sectors. We are in production of food crops such as green leafy vegetables, chili and fruits. We process honey and carry out value addition using beeswax, dehydrated and powered chili. Trueways was established in 2008. The farm under the brand name MKE organics was established in 2020 as a COVID 19 resilient project and certified Organic in 2021. We undertake regenerative agriculture that includes crop rotation, No till, and intensive mulching agriculture practices. We carry out climate smart agriculture practices including production and application of animal and plant based organic folia, fertilizers and fungicide. In addition we have harvested water and pump water using eco friendly methods. Based in Mbooni West, Makueni County, the company received support from WIT Project on the implementation and certification on Global- GAP. This resulted in opening of export markets in Europe, China and other African countries. Also through the WIT, the CEO has received tailored business skills in Quality Standards Certifications (ISO 90001:2018, ISO 45001:2015, HACCP, Financial Management, Organizational Development and Change, Sales and Marketing Strategy, and Customer Relationship. This was followed with close mentorship and coaching process. It has resulted in increased jobs to 5 full time employees: 2 women and 3 men of whereby one is a youth.
Jane is Co-founder and CEO of Dheiton Ventures Limited (DVL). DVL was incorporated in Kenya in the year 2001 and has since established itself as a key player in the poultry value chain and
pomegranate farming in Kenya. DVL successfully piloted largescale commercial poultry farming in the years 2018-2020, with a flock of 8,200 hybrid layers. Flock expansion plan commenced in the year 2020, targeting to achieve over 0.5 million layers, over the next 5 years. Initial expansion flock of 10,200 layers was deployed in May 2021. The company is currently rearing 15,000 layers. The next batch of 15,000 layers is scheduled in the 2nd half of the year 2023. We work with smallholder poultry farmers and offer capacity building and market linkages for their raw eggs. DVL has diversified into eggs processing, to produce pasteurized liquid and powder egg products for industrial, corporate and households’ applications. Development of prototype products and market piloting is planned in the next quarter. Subsequently, we will scale-up to commercial scale. Through tailored business trainings organized by TMA supported WIT project, Dheiton Ventures Limited has gained skills on Quality Standards Certifications (ISO 90001:2018, ISO 45001:2015 and HACCP), Financial Management, Organizational Development and Change, Sales and Marketing Strategy and Customer Relationship building, which was followed by mentorship support. This has resulted in strengthening the company’s workforce and improving efficiency of our daily business operations. Networking with other entrepreneurs has led to potential market expansion in other counties. We have also been able to commence re-use of chicken droppings for use as livestock feed, briquettes, bio-gas and organic fertilizer. This has strengthened the climate adaptation aspects of the project.

Joan is a Finance professional, Bachelor of Commerce graduate & Certified Public Accountant of Kenya – CPA(K) 10+ years of extensive experience in the Shipping & Oil industry – Finance, operations and supply chain with key focus on. Enjoys travel , exploring new places and meeting new people creating impact. Coco Vita is a social enterprise operating in rural area of Kilifi, working closely with hundreds of small-scale farmers, supporting their livelihood in the process. The company was registered and incorporated as a liability limited company in 2015 in Kilifi. The company is a craft producer of Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, bringing the highest quality coconut products to the Kenyan market under the brand Uzima. Coconut oil produced is cold pressed which means there is no heat applied to the fresh meat of the coconut and no chemicals involved in extracting the oil. Uzima Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, 100% cold pressed to give you the best quality on the market. The products are used for skin care and cooking purposes. The company supports and empowers Kenyan rural coconut farming communities by reducing post-harvest losses, providing them with an efficient, fair and reliable market, spurring rural industrialization, creating decent local job opportunities while leveraging on technology to process the coconuts into high quality, healthy and sustainable coconut products. Through capacity building programs organized by Partner Africa, Coco Vita has gained skills in Quality Standards Certifications
(ISO 90001:2018, ISO 45001:2015, and HACCP), followed with mentorship and coaching.
Karen Ndulu is one of the founders and currently Operations Manager for Athi farm Exporters Ltd. Athi Farm Exporters is a limited company, women-owned with 75% shareholding. It was registered in the year 2009 as a liability company. It is based in Embakasi, Nairobi. The company has established own farms for fresh beans, mango, French beans, baby corn, snow peas, and Chili for exports. The company works with 120 producer groups with over 2,300 farmers, who are given seeds and extension services on agronomic practices. The company has strong market base is in Europe, UK and Middle east which has been developed over long time. The brand name sells in the export market and has a strong marketing plan in place. The company’s Annual Turn Over in the year 2021 was Kes 97,300,000. The CEO has benefited from tailored business training in Organizational Development, Strategic Management, Financial Management, Customer Relationship Management and Marketing. Through the support of WIT Project, Athi Farm has been supported in the implementation and certification of HACCP. As a result the company has been able to introduce production and processing of fresh and dried chilli with ready market in Europe.
Lilian Ochieng is the CEO and founder of Frelin Fresh Exporters LT. Frelin Fresh is a limited company registered in 2019 in the Republic of Kenya, based in Ruiru Kiambu County and with 75% women shareholding. The company aggregates and exports fresh Avocado, Mango and Pineapples to the Middle East Markets and also supplies local agro-processors. The company is currently working with over 2,500 farmers from Muranga, Embu, Meru, Nakuru, Kirinyaga, Machakos, Makueni and Kiambu counties offering linkages to input suppliers and produce marketing. As a beneficiary of TMEA-WIT Kenya, the company has received implementation support and certification on Global GAP, opening formal market opportunities in Europe and Middle east, signing contracts from Dubai, Malaysia and the UK. This has also led to increased sales revenue from Kes 8,500,000 to over 20,000,000, access to finance in form of credit worth Kes.1,000,000, and creation of 52 indirect jobs within their supply chain
Margaret founded Mace Foods in 2002. Having worked in 2 large German Spice producing companies, Margaret felt the need develop export products for the EU market was a great opportunity. She is currently the CEO of Mace Foods Ltd. Margaret is a graduate Food Technologist from Technical University of Kenya, has a post graduate diploma in Food Science from Karlsruhe University, Germany. In addition, she has a post graduate diploma in Business Management form Kenya Institute of Management in Kenya and a Certificate in Entrepreneurship from United States International University in Kenya. Margaret is an ardent and resilient Entrepreneur with over 20 years’ experience in innovative Value Addition, project, supply chain and manufacturing operations management. She has led Mace Foods into Fair Trade certification (WFTO) and since inception follows a clear Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy, in particular gender issues. It is a certified seed producer by KEPHIS. Main products are chillies (African Bird’s Eye, Long Cayenne) and traditional African vegetables. The company works with 5,600 contracted farmers from different regions in the country. Its main export markets are in Germany, Spain, Italy, UK, Netherlands and USA. The company has been privileged to receive support on implementation and certification for HACCP from WIT project.
Naomi Kitur is a passionate food safety specialist with a wealth of experience working with various organizations ranging from small to large enterprises with the objective of enhancing implementation of food related standards to ensure food safety. Her desire is to contribute significantly to the development and improvement of quality and safety standards in the food value addition sector, through food safety trainings, workshops and conformity assessment to ensure growth of the industry in terms of quality and safety of consumer products. Naomi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science and Technology from Egerton University and a Master of Science in Food Safety and Quality from the University of Nairobi. She has over 15 years experience
working with the food processing industry. She has been involved in capacity building projects in the food industry, among them a collaboration with the Export Promotion Council in developing products and practices of various micro, small and medium enterprises to export quality level. In her current role at the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS), Naomi has trained and audited the management systems of several companies in the food value chain. She has also worked in Quality Assurance Division with the primary role of enforcing standards and providing technical support to the practitioners in the food industry through consultancy and training workshops. Naomi is a qualified East African Community (EAC) Quality Champion, Kenya Chapter having been involved in a four-year Market Access Upgrade Project (MARKUP) sponsored by the European Union and facilitated by the International Trade Centre (ITC) between 2019 and 2022. The programme aimed to support increased exports of agribusiness and horticultural products from the EAC region through supporting quality improvements in selected enterprises. Her long term goal is to see the culture of quality and safety standards entrenched in the Kenyan food processing industry.
Smart Logistics is a processing company based in Makutano, Machakos County. It was registered in the year 2009 as a limited company. Smart Logistics started as an aggregator for sorghum and maize and has now diversified into processing of pre-cooked beans, beans flour, noodles and dry vegetables and nutri-porridge. Works with over 30,000 farmers from diverse regions of the country. The company has offered direct employment to 16 employees inclusive of 6 casuals. Sells locally but targets export market. The company integrates circular economy model by reusing waste which is the broken beans turned into flour for soup thickening; uses renewable energy from waste fuel to fire the burner to produce steam used in the processing plants. Through TMEA- WiT SLS has been supported in the implementation and certification of HACCP. This has resulted in access to finance in form of grant worth Kes. 37,000,000. The company has also introduced two product line which include nutri-porridge and processing of dry vegetables for export which has ready markets in USA. SLS has also participated in tailored business trainings in Organizational Development, Strategic Management, Financial Management, Customer Relationship Management, and Marketing, which was followed by an implementation support through coaching and mentorship.
